Signing In¶
Miniflux uses Authentik SSO — no separate password needed.
- Go to miniflux.hdhomelab.com.
- Click Sign in with Authentik.
- Authenticate with your homelab credentials.
First login
Your Miniflux account is created automatically on first sign-in. No pre-registration required.
Adding Feeds¶
- Click Feeds in the top menu → Add Subscription.
- Paste a website URL or direct feed URL.
- Miniflux will auto-discover the feed if you paste a regular page link.
- Optionally assign a Category, then click Submit.
Finding RSS feeds
Most blogs and news sites publish an RSS feed. Try appending /feed, /rss, or /atom.xml to the site URL — or just paste the homepage and let Miniflux discover it.
Reading Articles¶
- Unread in the top menu shows all new articles across all feeds.
- Click an article title to read it inline.
- Click the external link icon to open the original page.
- Use Mark All as Read to clear an entire feed at once.

Tip
Press ? at any time for the full shortcut reference directly in the app.
Organizing Feeds¶
Categories let you group feeds by topic (e.g. Tech, News, Podcasts).
- Go to Categories → Create Category and give it a name.
- When adding or editing a feed, pick the category from the dropdown.
Feeds can be moved between categories at any time via Feeds → click a feed → Edit.
Mobile Apps & API¶
Miniflux supports the Fever and Google Reader APIs, making it compatible with most third-party RSS apps.
Use any app that supports Fever or Google Reader API:
- iOS: Reeder, Unread, lire
- Android: FeedMe, Read You, Fluent Reader
Generate an API key in Settings → API Keys and use your Miniflux URL as the server address.
